"Achieving excellence with horses is not about what you do to them or the equipment you use to do it. Excellence is what you offer your horse, receive in return, and experience together. True horsemanship transcends any perticular sport or discipline, and the benefits far outweigh the mere ability to stay on a horse."

Services Offered Under This Program
Horse Training & Riding Lessons
Our riding lessons are available for all levels and disciplines in both private and group sessions. Lessons can cover ground work, riding or a combination of both. Every session is tailored to the student and horse as individuals.
Horse training sessions are available for situations like colt starting, difficult horses or helping a student resolve a sticky situation with their horse. However in all situations, it is ideal that the person be taught along with the horse. This way, any old patterns that were problematic are replaced with positive information for the horse and owner. No one is left behind on the learning curve. ...for more info
Horsemanship Clinics
EAF schedules several set horsemanship clinics each year. The clinics are open to all levels and disciplines. We don't pre-set the levels of our clinics, because we firmly believe that excellence is achieved through perfecting the basics. The class sizes are also kept small enough for plenty of individual attention. If anyone wants to request that a clinic be organized to address a specific topic or set of skills, this can easily be arranged.
Normally, our clinics are split into morning and afternoon sessions. The morning is typically dedicated to ground work, and it addresses respect issues, spookiness, developing lightness and improving rider/horse communication. The afternoon session is then dedicated to applying these skills while riding. We also introduce important concepts like getting your aids in time with the horse's feet and being able to ride the movements of the horse with fluidity and harmony. ...for more info
Public Education Seminars
EAF is proud to offer this series of educational clinics. We have gathered a group of the finest horse health professionals in the area to share their knowledge. Some of the fields covered are equine veterinarian, massage therapist, chiropractor, saddle fitter, farrier and dentist. The format is very interactive. Auditors are invited to ask questions and participate in demonstrations.
This is a wonderful opportunity for youth groups, families with horses and experienced horse owners who want to stay current on the latest equine health topics. It's also a great way to support the community. 100% of all proceeds from the events goes to running Equestrian Arts Foundation programs.
