MLA provides organizational development and organizational behavior consulting services to a wide variety of public and private organizations. Mike has led a multitude of trainings and group retreats for over 25 years and has led training seminars across the US as well as in Russia and China.
Mike serves on the Boards of Trustees of a variety of civic organizations and agencies in Ohio. EAF challenges Mike to bring together his organizational training and horsemanship skills to share with others.
Trustee / President / Exec. Director - Maria Lee
Maria Lee has been a serious student of horsemanship for more than 20 years. After completing a comprehensive two year academic horsemanship program, she apprenticed in multiple settings giving her a broad perspective. From there, Maria trained both horses and people professionally in the competition and pleasure industries. She has trained over 200 horses, with 50 of them being young horses that she started.
Throughout those 14 years of running her own business, Maria found herself specializing more as someone who started young horses and rehabilitated problem horses, as well as helping owners better understand their horses. She found that working in a competition setting was nowhere near as rewarding as teaching and addressing the psychological aspects of horsemanship.
Five years ago she made the decision to focus entirely on these efforts through Natural Horsemanship and gain certifications through E.A.G.A.L.A. and more recently, the O.K. Corral Series. She's attended and participated in training clinics and seminars around the country as well as countless hours put into research and self improvement in order to better help her clients. This all led to her establishing, organizing and running the Equestrian Arts Foundation with the help of the incredible board of trustees, all of whom volunteer their time and efforts.
Trustee / Vice President / Secretary - Cathryn Young
Cathryn Young is a Full Time Mom and a community volunteer who lends her years of experience in advertising and marketing to a variety of organizations in the Greater Dayton Area. An avid horse lover, Cathryn devotes a majority of her time to EAF and her own pursuit of Natural Horsemanship goals.
Cathryn also works with the Therapeutic Riding Institute as a horse leader and side helper. She is the proud mother of two energetic children, Judson (age 8) and Natalia (age 6), and wife of Tom.
